Who We Are

Mike Lazear joined Tom Lazear in founding Archway Systems in 1990 after selling their first company, VersaCAD Corporation, where Mike was VP of Development and the original developer of VersaCAD. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. While not doing “President” type tasks, he provides training and consulting to companies using Bentley products. In particular, the setup, use and customization of MicroStation.

Mike spent most of his years in Southern California, but moved to Tennessee during the 2020 pandemic and currently resides in Franklin with his wife, Sheri. He tries to sepnd at least some time each day playing piano, plays bass at church on Sundays, and enjoys woodworking when he can find the time. Above all Mike, and Sheri, love spending time with family including his parents, 3 kids, and 8 grandkids.

Tom and Mike Lazear founded Archway Systems, Inc. in 1990. Tom holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, an MS in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and an MS in Management from the Sloan School at MIT. Tom has been involved in use of computers in engineering since the early days including founding VersaCAD Corporation.
Tom and his wife Sandy moved from Southern California to Franklin, Tennessee in 2020 where he still resides and enjoys his 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Josh Lazear joined Archway Systems full-time in 2007. He holds a BS in Information and Computer Science with an emphasis in Networking from the University of California, Irvine. Josh works on Archway’s development and implementation projects, specifically with ProjectWise applications. He has led ProjectWise implementations and upgrades for dozens of companies. He is also the Network and Systems Administrator for Archway Systems, handling all IT related duties, and as such consults with many clients on network and system strategies in regards to their Bentley software. 

Josh and his wife Blythe love spending time with their five kids, exploring the outdoors.

Danny Lazear joined Archway Systems full-time in 2010. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Danny heads Archway’s civil training and consulting group. He has led numerous projects for clients big and small for Archway over the years and continues to excel as one of the leading trainers in the US for Bentley products. Archway usually tasks Danny with coming up to speed on the latest and greatest software, making him a vital resource for many 3D design products on the market. 

A Southern California native, Danny and his wife Kristen are avid sports fans including their beloved Dodgers. They reside in Franklin with their two kids. In his free time, Danny loves playing sports, DIY-ing household projects, and being outdoors with his family.
